New cooperation with Aptalis further strengthens gastroenterology portfolio

Ewopharma AG is pleased to announce its cooperation with Aptalis Pharma, a leading international specialty pharmaceutical company with headquarters in Canada and focus on cystic fibrosis and gastroenterology products and therapeutic treatments.

As from January 2012, Ewopharma is exclusively distributing Panzytrat in the Czech and Slovak Republic. Panzytrat is a porcine pancreatic enzyme preparation of encapsulated enteric-coated microtablets. It is indicated for pancreatic enzyme replacement in patients suffering with conditions associated with pancreatic exocrine insufficiency such as cystic fibrosis, chronic pancreatitis, post pancreatectomy, post-gastrointestinal bypass surgery and ductal obstruction.

The extension of the gastroenterology portfolio further strengthens Ewopharma’s strong position in this market segment.
